Comparison

VisitPro vs Odoo Field Service for a service company in Spain

Direct answer

VisitPro is a field service app built for Spanish service companies — pool, cleaning, landscaping and property maintenance — and it works on day one for a three-technician team. Odoo is a modular ERP you configure, with a genuine Spanish accounting localisation covering VAT and electronic invoicing. If your problem is accounting and Spanish tax compliance, Odoo wins and we will not pretend otherwise. If your problem is proving every visit to an owner who lives outside Spain, VisitPro is built for exactly that.

Two products with different shapes

The Odoo column describes the shape of the product (a modular ERP suite with a Spanish localisation), not a module-by-module audit. Odoo ships in community and enterprise editions and is often delivered through partners — confirm scope and cost with them.

What it isComparableA field service app. One job, finished: schedule, run the visit, prove it happened.A module inside an ERP suite. Its strength is what sits next to it — accounting, purchasing, inventory, CRM, HR.

Stated plainly

Odoo wins on accounting and VAT, without qualification

Odoo has a genuine Spanish accounting localisation: chart of accounts, VAT handling, tax forms and electronic invoicing. VisitPro has none of that and is not claiming to. If what you need is Spanish tax compliance from the same system that runs the work, Odoo is the right answer and we are not.

It also wins on breadth. Inventory, purchasing, CRM, HR — if the goal is a single system for the whole company, an ERP does that and a field service app does not.

What we ask is that the comparison stays fair in both directions: that power is paid for in configuration and in time to being operational, and a pool company with three technicians rarely has someone to spend on it.

An ERP is configured; a field service app is used

Odoo is a platform. That is its virtue and also its bill: someone has to decide the modules, the workflows, the permissions and the reports, and that someone is usually an implementation partner. In exchange you get a system that can cover the entire company.

VisitPro starts from the opposite end. It covers a narrow band — schedule, visit, prove — and arrives finished. A manager imports the client spreadsheet, invites the technicians, and owners are receiving photo reports that same week. There is no implementation project because there is nothing to configure beyond your own service catalogue.

Most coastal maintenance companies end up with both: their gestor or invoicing software on one side, an operational tool on the other. That is a perfectly sensible arrangement, and it is the one VisitPro is designed for.

What VisitPro solves that a generic module does not solve by itself

  • The report writes itself

On submission VisitPro builds the PDF with photos, checklist, measured values, the note and any issues, and emails it to the property contacts, each in their own language.

  • The owner needs no account

Every property and every visit can have a revocable public link. No login, nothing installed, and no GPS coordinates or internal company data exposed.

  • AI drafts the visit from the photos

Via reads the photos the technician just took and proposes services performed, checklist items, field values and issues. The technician edits and confirms; nothing is ever submitted on their behalf.

  • Recurring maintenance routes

Weekly or biweekly rules by day of week. Each occurrence is materialised as its own job, so it can be reassigned or cancelled without touching the rule.

What it does not do

What VisitPro does not do

The full list, so the comparison is a real one.

  • No accounting, no fiscal invoices, no VAT filing, no Verifactu, no electronic invoicing, no AEAT connection.
  • No payment collection: owners cannot pay through VisitPro.
  • No inventory, purchasing or warehouse.
  • No sales CRM or opportunity pipeline.
  • No payroll, timesheets or shift clock-in.
  • No water chemistry module with target ranges; readings are captured as custom fields.
  • No background location: the live map only works while the app is open.

Frequently asked questions

Can I run VisitPro alongside Odoo?

Yes, and it is a sensible combination: Odoo for accounting and administration, VisitPro for field operations and proof of service to the owner. There is no direct integration between the two today; data moves by export and import.

Does VisitPro cover Spanish electronic invoicing?

No. VisitPro does not issue fiscal invoices and has no AEAT, Verifactu or TicketBAI integration. It produces signed service agreements and quotes, which can display an IVA line, but those are commercial documents.

How long does it take to get started with VisitPro?

Sign-up and importing clients and properties from Excel or CSV happen the same day. There is no implementation project and no mandatory partner.

Does VisitPro record pH and chlorine readings?

They are captured as custom fields your company defines, and Via can read a test-kit photo and propose the values. There is no dosing module, no target ranges and no alerting when a value is out of range.

When is Odoo the better choice?

When the main problem is accounting or tax, when you need inventory, purchasing or HR covered by the same system, or when you have someone who can configure and maintain the platform.

Why it is built for Spain

VisitPro is built by a founder based in Spain who works this market from both sides: running a pool service company here, and having been the property owner hiring pool companies for their own home. Every decision on this page comes from doing the work and from being the customer, not from market research.
