Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your VisitPro account and the data associated with it. VisitPro is a field-service tool published by VisitPro for cleaning and home-services companies and their clients.

You can request deletion either from inside the app or by emailing our support team. Both paths are described below, along with exactly what is removed and what is retained for legal compliance.

Delete your account from inside the app

If you still have the VisitPro app installed and can sign in, the in-app flow is the fastest option:

  • Open the VisitPro app and sign in.
  • Owners and workers: tap the gear icon in the top-right corner and choose Profile. Clients: tap the Account tab at the bottom of the screen.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Account screen and tap Delete my account.
  • Confirm by typing your account email exactly as it appears on your profile, then enter your current password.
  • If you are the last owner of a company, the app will ask you to either transfer ownership to a teammate or confirm that the company should be deleted along with your account. Make a choice and submit.

Once submitted, you are signed out immediately on every device and your account enters a 30-day deletion-pending state.

Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, or you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the address registered on your VisitPro account with the subject line "Delete my account".

Include in the body: your full name, the account email, and (if applicable) the name of the company you belong to. We may ask one additional question to confirm your identity before proceeding. We process email deletion requests within 30 days of receipt.

What is deleted

After the 30-day deletion-pending window, the following personal data is permanently removed from our systems:

  • Your email address, first name, last name, phone number, and profile photo.
  • Your password (the hashed credential is destroyed — login becomes impossible).
  • Push-notification tokens, in-app notifications, and language preference.
  • Your last known GPS location and any location history attached to your user profile.
  • All active sessions across every device (this happens immediately when the request is filed).

If you were the last owner of a company and chose to delete the company along with your account, the Stripe subscription is canceled immediately and the company record is marked deleted. Other team members of that company lose access at that point.

What is retained, and why

A minimal anonymised user record is kept after the 30-day window, but it contains none of the personal data listed above. The reason: VisitPro lets companies record visits, schedule jobs, and bill clients. Those records reference the user who created them. Removing the record entirely would break the company's own audit trail and invoices, which they need under EU tax and accounting rules.

Specifically, we retain:

  • An internal user ID (no personal data attached) so visit and scheduled-job records created by the user remain valid in the company's history.
  • Billing and invoice records (issued by Stripe and stored on VisitPro for accounting) for the period required by the applicable tax authority — typically 7 years in the EU.
  • Support email correspondence, kept only as long as needed to resolve the matter and any follow-up.
  • Anonymous, aggregated usage metrics that cannot be tied back to you.

Backups taken before your deletion request may temporarily still contain your data. Backups are encrypted and rotate out automatically within 90 days; they are never restored without overriding the deletion flag.

Timeframe

Deletion requests are processed automatically 30 days after they are filed (in-app or by email). The 30-day window gives you a grace period to undo an accidental request — contact [email protected] during that window if you change your mind. After the window closes, the deletion is irreversible.
